Guiding Principle

The esteemed pewtermaker, N.C. Gish & Co., will cease operations at some point during 2007. But until that time, orders will be filled normally, subject to production capacity.

The ending of the company's operations has been brought about mainly by the death of the founder and chief artist, Mr. Nicholas Gish. Mr. Gish departed this world on December 23rd, 2006.

The company's decision has also been brought about by the shifting of pewter production to China and similar sources. Along with others in the pewter trade, the Gish Company has concluded that its operations are increasingly less feasible and the situation is not likely to improve.

As a gesture of appreciation to customers, there is no change in last year's price schedule. Also, I have been asked by the company to express their gratitude for your past business … and to send you good wishes for the future.
